![]() On June 30, 2020, Governor Newsom signed Executive Order N-71-20 extending the time frames in Executive Order N-63-20 an additional 120 days. On May 8, 2020, Governor Newsom signed Executive Order N-63-20 (see paragraphs 6 and 7), extending commissions of notaries public for a period of 60 days for any notary public whose commission term has expired since Maor whose commission is set to expire over the next 60 days. Staff will be on-site Monday through Friday processing documents submitted to the drop box each day and returning the documents by mail. Documents may be dropped off Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. Service via mail in Sacramento will continue as normal.Īlthough the public counter remains closed, t he Los Angeles office is accepting documents through the drop box located in Secretary of State office in the Ronald Reagan building. As a result of lobby pickup resuming, all documents dropped off in the Sacramento lobby will require the $6.00 special handling fee. to 2:30 p.m. Drop off requests are typically processed within two to three business days.
